Platinum doors are made from galvanised Welsh steel, bonded to a perimeter sub-frame of LVL. This construction ensures outstanding durability, weather resistance and long-lasting performance.

“LVL” refers to Laminated Veneer Lumber, an engineered wood product made by bonding multiple layers of thin wood veneers with adhesive under heat and pressure. LVL is used in doors as a strong, dimensionally stable core material that resists warping and twisting, providing a uniform and reliable base for door facings and hardware.

Platinum doors come with a high-security locking system and are backed by Hörmann’s £4,000 Anti-Burglary Guarantee*, covering damage and replacement to the lock cylinder. All doors are available with Secured by Design accreditation.
